Summary:
This position has a strong focus on building and maintaining operational excellence in all aspects
of school administration including admissions, retention, career and student services, compliance,
finances and staffing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all student admissions and enrollment procedures, including BPVEE, ACCSC,
Title IV,
Veterans Administration, DARS, and SLM Financial.
Send all revenue to Financial Director on a daily basis.
Create and manage Faculty, Receptionist, Studio Technicians, Career Services, Student
Services and Admissions schedules for all shifts and ensure that all personnel time cards are
accurate timely and consistent.
Responsible for managing all Lab Technicians activity surrounding studio equipment and
ensuring that studio equipment check out and check in policy is executed.
Responsible for hiring, performance and termination of all local employees.
Ensure that studio equipment and inventory is checked at the beginning of the morning shift
as well as the beginning and end of the evening shift.
Responsible for reporting all missing or damaged equipment to the Vice President to determine
best course of action for service or replacement.
Ensure that all instructors are notified of all school schedules and activities including Open House
and other special events, ensure that instructors are on time and have all necessary materials
(Books, CDs, etc.) for their classes.
Conduct twice annual Program Advisory Committee meetings, ensure that PAC members
suggestions are acted upon and minutes are recorded.
Develop and maintain close professional ties to the local Production and Multimedia Industry.
Schedule and conduct studio tours as necessary.
Ensure that annual professional development requirements are met for all faculty.
Oversee and participate in all Open House activities, ensuring that the schedule is accurate
and maintained and that all necessary distribution materials are in supply.
Maintain, at company cost, memberships in all pertinent professional organizations related to
recruitment in related industries.
Carry out performance observations and reviews of all staff under your supervision.
Conduct annual staff performance reviews.
Actively participate in, distribute, administer and collect End Of Course Surveys for all students
and all classes.
Immediately escalate all grievances and complaints from, Students, parents, landlord, faculty
and staff to the Vice President for determination of course of action.
Maintain all recruitment, new student records in accordance to ACCSC, BPVEE and
Title IV guidelines.
Periodically inspect and maintain student files and binders for each class and student.
Manage student records communication with corporate office in Dallas.
Serve as primary point for tuition collection.
Serve as primary point for advertising activities related to recruitment.
Provide general upkeep and maintenance of studio campus.
Provide students, parents with enrollment information.
Maintain subject matter expertise on all financial aid instruments currently available
for the program.
Participate in or perform activities necessary as a BPVEE and ACCSC School Director.
Manage local compliance with ACCSC, TWC, VA, DARS and Title IV standards and policies.
Oversee all professional studio bookings and maintain current rate quotes and ensure timely
collection and delivery of all studio revenue.
Ensure that all MediaTech Institute employees perform job functions specific to and purely
in the interest of MediaTech Institute and not in the exclusive interest of third party businesses
on the premises.
Minimal travel as needed.
Qualifications:
College Degree and at least four years progressive administrative experience in education;
detail oriented; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently as well as
collaborate with other staff members; strong supervisory skills; ability to manage multiple competing
priorities effectively; train new staff members, understand federal and state regulations.
